Four Roses expands distillery capacity and celebrates with a new small batch bourbon
The Lawrenceburg, KY Four Roses Distillery recently completed renovation and a $55M expansion with the release of a new small batch bourbon to coincide with its Grand Reopening.
Master Distiller Brent Elliott worked with existing recipes to develop a new blend of existing bourbons, aged at least 6 years each and bottled at 104 proof, to create Small Batch Select.
From their press release, the company stated that "Four Roses Small Batch Select balances notes of candied fruit with warmth and spice for a nuanced, mouth-coating flavor enjoyable to both casual drinkers and connoisseurs."
The bourbon is the first new permanent addition to the Four Roses shelf in over 12 years and will be available beginning April 17, 2019 at the companies distillery and tasting center. Limited rollout in Kentucky, Texas, New York, California and Georgia will be followed by wider distribution in the future.
